ZigZag Whitsundays Terms and Conditions
Important Forms
- All guests travelling onboard ZigZag must complete the following forms upon check-in with the crew on the morning of departure:
- Medical Details Form
- Sign-In Sheet
- If you are deemed to have a health risk for snorkelling, you must comply with the crew’s instructions.
- Please review our safety standards prior to your arrival by accessing the above forms.
Cancellation Policy
Refunds
- You may request to cancel your ticket for a full refund up to 24 hours before departure.
- All cancellation requests must be emailed to bookings@zigzagwhitsundays.com.au.
- Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of departure:
- Refunds or transfers may not be provided.
Transfer of Travel Date
- You may request to transfer your departure date up to 24 hours before departure with no transfer fee.
- No transfers are permitted within 24 hours of departure.
- Travel insurance is highly recommended.
Travel Terms and Conditions
Agreement
- These Terms and Conditions must be agreed to at the time of booking.
- Upon check-in, all passengers must sign to confirm they have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
- If you do not agree, you will not be permitted to travel, and a full refund will be provided for your ticket(s).
Liability
- While every effort is made to ensure passenger safety, ZigZag Whitsundays is not liable for:
- Personal injury, aggravation of existing conditions, mental injury, contraction of diseases, loss (direct, indirect, or consequential), or death.
- Risks include but are not limited to jellyfish stings, sharks, and crocodiles.
- Passengers are advised to:
- Inform the crew of any existing medical conditions (e.g., asthma, heart conditions, diabetes, recent injuries).
- Abide by all crew instructions at all times.
Pricing
- All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST.
- Prices are valid from December 2024.
Weather and Itinerary Changes
- All departures and itineraries are subject to weather conditions and may be changed or canceled at ZigZag Whitsundays’ discretion.
- ZigZag Whitsundays reserves the right to:
- Substitute vessels without notice.
- Cancel or reduce trip duration for safety reasons (e.g., severe weather, cyclones).
Refunds for Cancellations by ZigZag Whitsundays
- If canceled prior to departure, you will receive a refund within 7 days.
- If trip duration is reduced due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., inclement weather, medical emergencies), you may:
- Be offered a future trip at no cost (subject to availability).
Risks Acknowledgement
- Travel and activities (e.g., snorkeling, bushwalking) involve risks, including:
- Stings or bites from marine creatures or native fauna.
- Stinger suits are strongly recommended for water activities.
Consumer Law
- Where applicable, the liability of ZigZag Whitsundays under the Competition and Consumer Act is limited to the maximum extent permissible.
Legal Jurisdiction
- Your agreement is subject to the laws of Queensland, Australia.
- If any term is deemed unenforceable, the remaining terms remain valid.
Acknowledgment
- By agreeing to these terms, you confirm that all individuals on this booking have had the opportunity to read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
